Description

Yes, I went a ahead and updated her design to match the original red/pink color schemes she had in her comic book appearance from 1969.

For those (some few) who do not know who she is:

Betsy Cow aka Itsey-Betsy or Beatrice/Elizabeth, is the five year old hyper-active niece of Clarabelle Cow who made her only appearance in the 1969 comic Triple-Sitter Trouble. Published in Walt Disney's Comics and Stories Volume #29 Issue# 10 (which I actually own).

In the comic, Daisy's nieces April, May, and June accept the job of babysitting Clarabelle's hyper-active niece Itsey-Betsy. At first the girls believe she's playing hide and seek and begin to look for her. May is then kicked out of the bedroom which results in the girls search in the room. When they reach the bed, the mattress flips over landing on the girls revealing Betsy flipped the mattress. Soon playing "roundup" Betsy ropes the girls and practically drags them all over the house. The comic ends with the girls trading with Huey, Dewey, and Louie, who were working on Clarabelle's yard.

Upon my reading of the comic itself (which was only four pages long) I felt I should flesh her out with a personality and try make her like a real child. By "real child" I mean that she sometimes tries to act like an adult (from the way she perceives it by her aunt or any adult for that matter), she's emotional, she's strange,  she's feisty, and at times stubborn till she gets her point across. For the moments she actually does fight she does it's mainly for the sake of wanting respect from not just her elders but from her school peers. It's never physical but that's what she strives for living in a society that would portray her as some dumb kid who should be into what society thinks she would like than trying to express herself by saying she's no spoiled brat wanting the high life. Her actions get her in trouble sometimes but most would agree that she's trying to do what she thinks is right even if it means she's grounded for defending herself in her own way possible. Her Aunt Clarabelle believes she dons the tomboy appearance to show she's energetic, she's ready for whatever is thrown at her, and that she wants to be different from everyone by expressing the "tough girl" look.
